Open Water Certification Dives
Open Water Dives $350
Certification dives at Haigh Quarry. Dives are done Saturday and Sunday. Class time is approximately 8:00am until 5:00pm.
BEFORE YOUR OPEN WATER DIVES:
This is the Second part of the PADI certification, You must have completed the classroom (zoom or eLearning) and pool portion before doing Open Water Dives!
- Use of our equipment is included. You must come into the store a day or two before your dives to try on and reserve your equipment. You'll then take this equipment with you to Haigh Quarry. Please note you'll be taking everying including BCD, regulator, wetsuit, tank, weights, etc...
- Students must provide their own SCUBA quality mask, fin, boots, and snorkel.
- Students will arrange their own transportation to and from the quarry.
- You must have completed the class/pool portion within the past 12 months prior to doing the Open Water Dives!

To keep our prices low, all classes are nonrefundable & there is a $50 transfer fee to change the date.
IMPORTANT REGARDING REFERRAL DIVES!
If you've completed the class/pool with a different dive shop and would like to do your Open Water Dives with us, please contact the store at 773-348-3999/3979 to sign up. Prior to signing up for the dives we must have a copy of your current PADI referral. Referrals from other agencies must do a pool session plus take a short exam prior to the Open Water Dives and there is an additional charge for this.
DAN Insurance is strongly recommended.

Local Open Water Certification Dives are done at Haigh Quarry in Kankakee, IL. Price includes use of our equipment, 4 dives over two days and certification fees. Price does not include transportation to Haigh Quarry, daily entrance fee at $25.00 per day/per diver, one extra air fill ($10) or incidentals. Students must sign up and prepay in advance and come in the Monday or Tuesday before the dives to try on and reserve equipment and then come in on the Thursday or Friday before the dives to pick up their rental.
Classes are nonrefundable. $50 pp transfer fee to change dates. Classes subject to price increase if changed.
